A leading Financial Services business has the requirement for an exceptional Team Leader to join their rapidly expanding Debt and Collections function.

The successful Candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of a Team of Collection Advisors. You will monitor inbound and outbound telephone activity, work queues and be required to create and maintain a motivational environment.

Role Profile

  • To performance manage the teams utilising various management information and real time statistics available from the ACD, Dialler and collection work queues.
  • Work with Management and along side other Team Leaders to plan and implement priorities of the department and your team.
  • Liaise with the dialler manager on collections campaigns
  • Maintain performance statistics for your team and hold regular team and individual performance reviews.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to collections policy and procedure.
  • Produce daily, weekly monthly individual and team performance statistics and any ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • To proactively challenge the processes and procedure in place working closely to continually meet the demands set by the Management team.
  • To audit payments on accounts and ensure arrangements made by collectors fit within policy and guidelines.
  • To investigate unusual trends, summarise reasons and present to your line manager
  • Highlight and resolve any issues that may impact on the production of MI and communicate to line manager.
  • To co-ordinate and prioritise the work of direct reports in line with department objectives.
  • To provide Team Leader cover for other collections functions.
  • To be responsible for the development of direct reports.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Demonstration of good people management, operational and collections experience
  • Knowledge of dialler operations
  • Understanding of collections techniques
  • Demonstration of problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience of working within a fast paced, Financial Services environment.
