Aspect selected as a Webby Awards honoree
13th April 2012 - Aspect, a leading provider of customer contact and Microsoft platform solutions, today announced that the company has been named an honoree by The Webby Awards in the Mobile category of Utilities & Services for developing an owner’s manual application on a tablet for the Hyundai Equus.
Now in its 16th year, the Webby Awards is the Internet's most respected symbol of success. This year, nearly 10,000 entries were received from all 50 U.S. states and more than 60 countries worldwide. Within the mobile group alone there were more than 8,000 entries submitted and fewer than 15 percent were distinguished as an Official Honoree. Winners were selected based on public voting taking place now until 26th of April. Winners will be announced on the 1st of May and honoured at a ceremony in New York City on the 21st of May.
The inspiration behind the development of the tablet application was Hyundai’s goal to attract new customers and differentiate the Equus from other vehicles it sells. This high-end luxury car was Hyundai's first in the category, competing with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Jaguar. Aspect worked with Hyundai and Innocean (Hyundai's marketing division) to create a first-of-its-kind application to be given to each new Equus owner, along with a tablet as its owner's manual. This application engages the user with utilities like a searchable, easy-to-use owner's manual and reference guide, a service appointment scheduler, interactive technology demonstrations, dealer locator and more.
