Converso Contact Centres, a UK supplier of outsourced inbound and outbound contact centre services has announced today its intention to expand its current UK operation. The expansion will add 80 seats to its existing capacity of 180 agents creating 80 FTE (full time equivalent) jobs.
The move follows the acquisition of the company last year by Usha Martin Group and is part of an on-going expansion plan that promises to create a total of 400 new jobs by 2010.
Director at Converso Dino Forte, comments, "This is the first stage that will help to fulfil the ambitions for Converso to ultimately quadruple its annual turnover over the next two years. The increased capacity is in response to increased demand particularly for outsourced inbound call management services and on the outbound side we are experiencing growth particularly for BtoB services and in the BtoC area from loyalty and affinity programmes."
He continues, "This represents a step further forward to achieving our goal of developing a major BPO and contact centre business that will offer our clients a full on-shore and off-shore service with access to significant dedicated resources. We are currently confirming plans for a South African operation and are expected to make further announcements over the next three months."
The new seats will occupy 6,000 sq ft on the ground floor of their existing building. The Usha Martin Group currently employs 4,000 people in India and more than 600 people in other locations around the world.
