Teleperformance FY sales ?1.593 billion; strong start to 2008; chairman replaced

Call centre operator Teleperformance said full year sales were ?1.593 billion, up from ?1.385 billion a year earlier, as strong growth continued into the start of 2008.

The company said its US unit in particular had strong growth since the start of 2008.

It confirmed its goals for the year of a continued rise in net profit and operating margin, despite noting a pessimistic environment for the US economy.

It said chairman Christophe Allard has resigned for personal reasons, and deputy chairman Jacques Berrebi has been named to replace him.
