UCN reallocates revenue between segments

UCN, Inc the leading provider of hosted communication systems, has decided to reallocate revenue between its two operating segments as reported for the year ended December 31, 2006 and for the nine months ended September 30, 2007.

UCN reports operating results for two customer segments, Telecom and inContact, in the company's financial reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). This reporting is provided in the Management's Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations, as well as in the Footnotes to UCN's Consolidated Financial Statements.

The Telecom segment consists primarily of voice and data long distance services provided to customers not utilizing any inContact services. The inContact segment consists of inContact services provided to customers as well as all of the related long distance voice and data services sold to those inContact customers.

For fiscal year 2006, UCN will reallocate from the inContact segment to the Telecom segment $513,000 of revenue, together with $299,000 of costs of revenue and $107,000 of operating expenses related to that segment revenue. For the nine-month period ended September 30, 2007, UCN will reallocate from the inContact segment to the Telecom segment $1.6 million of revenue together with $899,000 of costs of revenue and $492,000 of operating expenses related to that segment revenue.

As discussed further in the Form 8K filed today with the SEC, this reallocation between segments will not have any meaningful impact on UCN's consolidated revenues or other consolidated results of operations reported for the affected periods.

"This reapportioning between our two operating segments does not change our overall consolidated top or bottom line," stated UCN CEO Paul Jarman. "As a result of the reapportioning, UCN expects it will be short of achieving its inContact revenue guidance for 2007. We are evaluating whether this will have any impact on our 2008 guidance for inContact revenue, and if we determine any new guidance is appropriate, we will make that announcement at our upcoming fourth quarter and year end 2007 earnings conference call."
