Call centre announces new jobs for Falkirk
Telecom Service Centres are to bring 100 new jobs to Falkirk.
TSC, Scotland's biggest contact centre, announced the jobs boost just days after the area was rocked by the loss of 900 jobs in nearby Cumbernauld.
"We are absolutely delighted to bring this new employment to the Falkirk area," says the company's Group HR Director Linda Holden. "TSC is already a major employer in the area - and this new work will create an extra 100 jobs - a huge contribution at a time when there seems to be so much negative employment news elsewhere.
"We are very pleased at the quality of personnel we employ in our Larbert business park centre and look to continue that level of excellence with our new recruits." TSC, Scotland's largest contact centre company, has a nine-strong UK network employing over 3000 staff. Its biggest operation is located in Larbert's Central Business Park where the company's senior management are also based.
They are now looking to add 100 new jobs to their present 700 strong workforce - thanks to the success of a new business win being handled by the Falkirk site. Mobile phone giant T-Mobile, one of TSC's biggest clients, asked the contact centre company to set up a new team to promote the company's latest walking web technology.
Early reaction to the efforts of the TSC team has been so encouraging that the company now want to create a 100-strong sales force to drive the use of this latest technology.
Ideally, TSC's new recruits will have sales experience. Previous contact centre work and knowledge of the mobile phone industry would be an asset - but are not essential as full training will be given to all new starts. "TSC has been a major and beneficial part of the community since we started here," says Linda Holden. "We are delighted we can bring more employment and job security into the area and look forward to continuing and expanding our positive influence."
